The NOVA-600 is a Pentium based board to the industry standard EBX specification.

The "Embedded Board eXpandable" EBX specifications released during July, 1997 by AMPRO and Motorola provides a new level of plug-compatibility and exchangeability between manufacturers. For futher details of the EBX specification, please refer to the AMPRO web page:www.ampro.com

NOVA-600 is equipped with Molex 3.96mm Pitch Power Connector to accept up to 5V@ 14A.

Power consumption for Pentium level embedded board's may exceed 10 Amps on the 5 Volt supply with the addition of PC/104 modules higher CPU speeds. The NOVA-600 features a 3.96mm pitch connector (Molex 26-60-4080 or equivalent) for power connection. With individual pins rated at & Amps the board is designed to handle up to 14 Amps on the main power rail.
In comparison with other manufactures Pentium based boards which employ a 5.08mm pitch HDD power connector (such as the Molex 53109 or equivalent rated at 5 A) reliability may be compromised due to potential overload conditions at increased temperature.

NOVA-600 guaranteed 100 Mbps Ethernet function !

Although many boards feature 100Mbps Ethernet, repeated and stringent tests carried out with files exceeding 5 MB transmitted over 100 Metres between hub and server demonstrate the strength of design in the 100 Mbps Ethernet interface.

NOVA-600 provides 50-pin, 44-pin, and 41-pin flat panel connector options in a single board !

NOVA-600's CHIP 65555 HiQColorTM LCD/CRT Controller has drive capability including 36-bit LCD panels. With the wide range of LCD panels available, NOVA-600 provides 50-PIN flat panel connector for up to 36-bit LCD. And is available with a piggy-back FP24-01 module to convert the 50-pin signal to 44-pin and 41 pin connector for 24-bit LCD.

NOVA-600 provides isolated digital I/O !
4-bit isolated digital inputs and 4-bit isolated high open collect current (up to 600 mA/channel) outputs are features of the NOVA-600 which is designed for harsh and critical industrial operating environments.
